Bronte Cottage

Bronte Cottage

Bronte Cottage

This quaint and warm little cottage is situated in a yard just off King Street in the old village of Robin Hood’s Bay and is less than 100 metres from the beach. It is beautifully maintained and has been completely refurbished, offering light, stylish and comfortable accommodation over 3 floors. The sun fairly pours into this cottage in the morning.

Access to Bronte Cottage is from King Street, through a heavy wooden door and into a small yard of 3 cottages. Bronte Cottage is the middle one of the three and the front door leads into a small porch with hooks for coats.

Ground Floor

In line with many cottages in lower Bay, the ground floor is a single room which encompasses all of the daytime living space. There are two leatherette sofas and a coffee table sitting in front of the cosy log-burning stove. For formal dining, there is a foldaway table and chairs and, for your entertainment, there is a flat-screen TV with Freeview, a DVD player and WiFi. The compact kitchen is well-planned and fully stocked and comprises a Bosch electric fan oven with a 4-ring hob, an integrated fridge (no freezer compartment), microwave, kettle and toaster. A door from the lounge area leads up an enclosed staircase with handrail to the first floor. ......

First Floor

The main bedroom is light and airy, fully carpeted and has a contemporary style three-quarter bed with a quality chest of drawers and a built-in wardrobe. The window to the front elevation captures the morning sunshine. Also on this floor is the bathroom which has a marble tiled floor, a short hip-bath with a hand shower attachment, washbasin, WC and large wall-mounted mirror. A further enclosed staircase leads up to the second floor.........

Second Floor

The twin bedroom has 2 full-width single beds, a lovely pine chest and two built-in wardrobes. There is a long window to the front elevation which makes this room very bright, particularly in the early morning sunshine.
