The entrance to Rosings is on lower Bloomswell, just 4 cottages in from Bay Bank . There are 5 steps up to the door with hand rails on both sides of the steps. The front door leads directly into the very spacious and fully-carpeted kitchen and dining room. This delightful room is exceptionally well-equipped and has a range of kitchen units and appliances including a cooker with a 4-ring gas hob with extractor hood, electric oven and grill, Bosch dishwasher, under-counter fridge, microwave, 4-slice toaster, kettle and Dolce Gusto coffee maker. There is a large farmhouse pine table with 6 cushioned dining chairs and a matching sideboard table. Leading off the kitchen is a well-stocked utility room with a washing machine, small fridge-freezer, an excellent selection of beach games and equipment. Beyond the utility room is a separate cloakroom comprising WC and large wash basin. From the kitchen, a wooden, open-tread staircase leads up to the upper ground floor. Please note that using this staircase requires a degree of care and, in particular, young children should be supervised………
At the top of the stairs is a built-in stairgate which provides security and peace of mind when using the lounge and bedrooms. The sunny lounge has a large window to the front aspect with views over the village and up to Fylingdales Moor. A large sofa, 2 armchairs and an upholstered rocking chair provide all the comfort for a lazy afternoon or a cosy evening in front of the fire. There is a well-stocked bookcase and coffee-table, a multitude of maps and local publications, a CD player with a large selection of CDs, a Samsung TV and a DVD player and a large coffee table. An open fire and polished floorboards complete this delightful room. Along the landing is a light and spacious double bedroom with 2 windows to the rear aspect, overlooking lower Esplanade. The master bedroom enjoys stunning views across the sea to the imposing Ravenscar headland. This carpeted room comprises a beautiful wrought-iron king-size bed with bedside tables, a large old pine wardrobe, dressing table and full-length mirror. The bunk bedroom is also very roomy with ample dressing space – a quite unusual feature in this compact village. The bunk beds are full-width and there is a wardrobe, drawers and a lovely little rope stool. The bathroom comprises a WC, large wash basin and a full-size bath with shower over. An airing cupboard houses the central heating boiler and there is a window to the rear aspect.
Outside the kitchen dining room to the front aspect of Rosings, there is a white metal bench and a small matching bistro table and 2 chairs. The front of the cottage is not directly overlooked and so has open views and captures the sun for much of the day. This outside seating area is surrounded by pretty pots of seasonal flowering plants and shrubs
