Hadley’s first opened its doors in 1937. Its founder Alan Hadley believed in a quality product at a good price. His beliefs have continued through the years and now with over 75 years experience in the industry we have perfected the humble fish and chips.
In recent years we've been voted Whitby's Best Fish and Chips by the readers of the Whitby Gazette and continue to be a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike!
We always source the finest ingredients; British potatoes, MSC certified fish, home-cooked mushy peas and homemade tartare sauce. And we also cook the traditional way - in beef dripping.
Hadley's wonderful take-away opened it's doors in spring 2016 and has become widely regarded as one of the best take-aways in Whitby. No wonder given the fish and chip frying heritage of our restaurant!
Take-away customers are welcomed through the main restaurant doors and served at the counter situated to the left.
Now with the choice of both our spacious family-friendly and fully licensed restaurant and our equally enjoyable take-away service, there's no reason not to enjoy Hadley's famous fish and chips next time you're in Whitby!
