Whitby Storyteller Guided Walks and Tours

Whitby Storyteller Guided Walks and Tours

This much loved little tour company - Whitby Storyteller Guided Walks and Tours is run by locally born Rose Rylands, professional guide and storyteller. She has extensive knowledge of the coast and landscapes, history, lore and legend of Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, and the surrounding area.

Award winning Guided Walking Tours of Whitby is a singular and highly entertaining experience for anyone wanting to step into the stories of this ancient and remarkable place. It is popular with couples, families, friends, groups of all sizes, and has entertained and informed schools, universities and visiting groups from all over the world. This Whitby Storyteller guided walk is unlike other regular tours and a must do on your visit to Whitby.

Ghost and Dracula Walks in Whitby by private arrangement are available and a regular schedule of the popular Robin Hood's Bay Ghost Walk with a new programme of dates and times is uploaded every month.

Rose also takes groups out on adventure and nature walks into the highlights of the national park. Walks range from full day treks to more gentle guided walks through some of the most scenic and some less well known gems of the local area.

Bringing the tour to the door, Rose entertains visitors in holiday cottages with an evening of storytelling, suited to the audience and age group. These can include ghost stories, local history, folklore, smuggling tales, maritime histories, with a variety of interesting anecdotes and conversation.

She also entertains school groups with storytelling events that bring specific educational and age appropriate content.

Rose is CRB checked, PGCE qualified and a highly experienced guide and speaker.

There is something for everyone and all walks can be privately booked and suited to budget.
